After much (difficult) deliberation, we have narrowed the longlist down into a shortlist of 6 finalists! Let me tell you, it wasn't an easy task!
And the finalists are...
<drumroll>
Well done, guys and gals! To read the full entries that brought them to this stage, just click on their names.
And now, it is YOUR turn to decide... Who is the all-round Renaissance champion? Cast your vote in the poll below.
A quick note: this is a writing contest, not a popularity contest, so please vote on merit, and not on who your BFF is. Similarly, shortlisted entrants are free to spread the word about the poll ("The REN3 shortlist has been announced! Go vote for your favourite!") but they are not allowed to solicit votes ("I'm a REN3 finalist! Go vote for meee...!!").
Get the picture?
If any shortlisted finalists engage in unfair soliciting -- and we will find out -- he/she will be disqualified, and will be replaced by someone else on the longlist. But I'm sure we won't have to resort to that. :)

The poll will close at 11.59PM GMT on Friday 11th November, and we will announce the winner of the blogfest on Monday 14th November! We can't wait! Can you?
So what are you waiting for? Get voting!

Best of luck to one and all. We'll be eating popcorn waiting for the results.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, everyone :-)) And thanks to fellow hosts Damyanti, Stu and JC for putting in so much hard work...all 4 of us have been suffering with various illnesses, injuries, and mishaps.
ReplyDeleteI just placed my vote, I think. Should I be able to still be able to vote again or should that be blocked somehow? I know of some polls where you only see the results when you already have voted, so I'm wondering if it worked when I tried.
ReplyDeleteHi Tree...one vote/one time. We blocked anyone seeing the votes for a few reasons: the main one to keep the suspense.
ReplyDeleteSo..yes...it's there. Results on Friday
I'm still reading all the finalists posts. I'll be back to vote soon; but in the mean time I posted this on my blog for 11/7. I hope lots of bloggers read and vote :)

Sorry! Allowed for differences in time zones before realising that the poll already does that for me! It should now be back up. Apologies for the inconvenience and confusion!

Hi Rule of Three-ers. I'm pretty jealous that you got to do this cool story contest and thanks to the clever 3 - JC, Damyanti and Li for hosting it. If you do it again I hope I'm not so busy and can participate. I really can't vote as I haven't read ALL of the entries so it wouldn't be fair just to vote for the person I know on the list.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all on the long and short list. You did great!
Denise
ok...last time..THERE ARE FOUR OF US! Damyanti asked ME to join her.I created both Renaissance and the Rule of Three...I proposed we ask two others to join us, in case the #'s were big: I asked Lisa, Damyanti asked JC.
ReplyDeleteEnough already.
Sorry...hissy fit over...but geez
Many thanks to the hosts of REN3: Stuart Nager, Lisa Vooght, J.C. Martin, and Damyanti Biswas. Your enormous gift of time and talent to inspire is appreciated. Thanks to you all.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa.
